TC Williams students shout out their favorite peers and staff

Theogony introduced Titan Shoutouts in early September. T.C. Williams students, teachers, and staff anonymously shared their favorite fellow Titans and why they love them.

  1. Vencena Sye, Math Teacher
“Ms. Sye is one of my favorite people at T.C. Williams. Whenever I see her, she has a smile on her face, and she is always excited to see me too! Even when you aren’t in her class anymore, she still checks up on you and really cares about her students!”

“He’s been working really hard to let the seniors have somewhat of a senior year.”

“I love Fina because she’s a great role model, and she’s so kind! She’s such a great leader, and I’ve been looking up to her since I was in sixth grade!”

“I love Ms. Kiyak because she’s an amazing teacher who not only cares for her student’s education, but also what’s going on in their personal lives from mental health to [the stress of the] college application process.”

“She’s done an extraordinary job at spreading awareness and factual unbiased information about current issues in the world. She spends hours on making these posts and does all this research, makes statistics charts, and formats by creating visuals, breaking down information, and summarizing it so the basic human can interpret it. Especially during a whole pandemic…I love her!”

Kate Casper is the Theogony Style Editor and Outreach Committee Leader. She took Journalism I as a freshman and has been a member of Theogony since 2018 and an editor since 2019. Kate plays Varsity Tennis and submits poetry to the T.C. literary and art magazine, Labyrinth. Kate strives to be the pulse of the T.C. culture.
