ACPS offers tuition assistance for those teachers and administrators who wish to further their professional knowledge in a college or university setting. Teachers who take classes in:
- Dual certification in ELL or Special Education certification holding more than one endorsement
- Math: content & instruction
- Reading: content & instruction
- Honors/Gifted Education
- Education Leadership
ACPS teachers must complete an application and then provide documentation at the completion of the class (see application and FAQs below for details).
Are you interested in receiving tuition assistance? Make sure that you read the Frequently Asked Questions document so that you have a full understanding of the requirements to receive reimbursement. Some highlights include:
- Tuition assistance is limited to the ACPS priorities
- There are limited funds which are distributed on a first come, first serve basis
- The rate of tuition assistance is limited to $546 per credit hour and does not cover other costs such as fees or books
- Note for SY17: Tuition reimbursement applications for classes starting prior to October 1, 2016 are no longer being accepted due to all of the funds for this school year being encumbered.
- Applications for the 2017-2018 school year will be accepted after May 5, 2017. Please check the website often, as the tuition assistance program is being updated for SY18.
