Alexandria City Public Schools’ (ACPS) adult education program includes assistance for people interested in obtaining a Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED). If you have one or more GED exams to pass, it is never too late to complete the degree requirements, even if some time has gone by. The “Just 1 GED 2Go” is a flexible program that works to help people earn their degree. There are day and evening GED classes, some virtual options, math boot camps, free GED test vouchers and lots of help, especially with the Math GED exam.

The welcoming and supportive teachers and staff from the Adult Learning Center (ALC) are ready to assist anyone who needs their help and support in pursuing a GED. A GED credential can help people qualify for better-paying jobs, enroll in college or even join the military. Give the ALC a call today at 703-619-8027 or contact them via email at adulted@acps.k12.va.us. ACPS has support services and inspirational stories to encourage GED applicants, including that of Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School Teacher Sara Abdelrahman whose journey went from earning her GED to obtaining a master’s degree from the University of Virginia.
