Alexandria’s Holiday Market 

When: Dec 1 – Dec 6

Admission: Free!

Location: John Carlyle Square: 300 John Carlyle Street, Alexandria, VA

Alexandria’s Holiday Market is a free event perfect for any family! The event is in Old Town, sponsored by The Carlyle Vitality Initiative. The open-air festival will also have a photo booth with Santa will on December 1 and 4. Make sure to stop by and take a picture with the man himself, Santa Claus!

Ice and Lights: The Winter Village at Cameron Run

When: November 15 – Jan 5

Time: 5 – 10p.m.

Admission: $5 for general admissions; $17 for VIP pass

Location: Cameron Run Regional Park: 4001 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22304

Head over to Ice and Lights for food and good music while you skate! The general admission tickets for $5 plus fee include a 45-minute ice skating session, and VIP passes for $17 plus fee includes skate rentals and multiple skating sessions. Tickets can be purchased online in advance at this link or at the box office.

Starting January 11, the skating rink will be open on weekends with tickets available to purchase.

A Christmas Carol Play

When: Dec 6 – Dec 22

Time: Wednesdays through Fridays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Admission: $20

Location: Little Theatre of Alexandria: 600 Wolfe Street, Alexandria, VA

Stop by The Little Theatre of Alexandria this holiday season to see a performance of the classic Christmas story “A Christmas Carol”. The script is adapted by Donna Ferragut, produced by Jim Howard and Carol Strachan, and directed by Kelsey Yudice. Tickets can be purchased at this link in advance.

Alexandria’s 2019 Sing-Along

When: Dec 13

Time: 7:30 – 9:30p.m.

Admission: Free!

Location: Del Ray United Methodist Church: 100 East Windsor Avenue, Alexandria, VA

First Night Alexandria 

When: Dec 3

Time: 6p.m. – 1a.m.

Admission: $35

First Night Alexandria, an annual live music and performing arts festival, is one of the largest New Year’s Eve parties in Virginia! This event is safe and fun for the entire family, with an outstanding finale over the Potomac River at midnight in Old Town, complete with fireworks! There are warm indoor venues scattered throughout the city in Old Town, Del Ray, and the West End associated with this event.
