Next Steps for the ACPS Curriculum Survey

Thank you to the over 1,150 parents and guardians who gave their valuable feedback on the parent curriculum survey over the past two weeks. The purpose of the survey was to gather parent perspectives on current practices, attitudes and beliefs regarding the curriculum at our elementary, middle and high schools.

Results from this survey will be combined with information being collected through a staff survey, focus groups, direct classroom observations and a review of the written curriculum into a report to be produced by the external evaluation team at McREL International.

The final report is expected to be released by September 2016 and will be made publicly available through the ACPS website with a summary presented publicly to the ACPS School Board. ACPS will use the final report and recommendations provided by McREL to make informed decisions regarding how best to guarantee the delivery of a rich and rigorous curriculum for every student within the division.
