Parent-Teacher Conferences: Schedule Reminder and Tips

ACPS conducts parent-teacher conferences twice each calendar school year to provide opportunities for parents and teachers to discuss students’ social, emotional, and academic progress. Schools following the traditional academic calendar will hold Winter 2022 Parent-Teacher Conferences on Feb. 2-3.

ACPS VIP Awards

ACPS presented VIP Awards in the category of Licensed Specialists in our school division this month. Four employees who exhibit “Vision, Integrity and Passion” have been selected from the nominations submitted in this category.

Review of New CDC Guidelines

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been updating its COVID-19 guidance over the past month, and ACPS has made these updates to the information resources that families and staff can access on the ACPS Health & Safety Guidelines web page

ACPS Red Ribbon Award Winners

Caitlin Feehely, a junior at Alexandria City High School, and Ashly Isabel Luna Jimenez, a kindergarten student from William Ramsay Elementary School, have been selected as the 2021 Red Ribbon Week Poster Contest ACPS elementary and high school winners.

School Board Meeting Summary

As part of its meeting on Thurs., Jan. 20, the School Board hosted a public hearing on the Combined Funds Fiscal Year 2023 budget. Following the meeting, the Board transitioned to a Work Session on the FY 2023 budget.
