New growth assessments for students in grades 3-8, developed by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), will be administered for the first time in the fall of 2021. Find out more.

ACPS is pleased to welcome Alexander Duncan III as the next campus administrator for the Minnie Howard campus of Alexandria City High School.

ACPS has health and safety mitigation measures in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within the school division. It also has a plan for any students who need to isolate as they have been diagnosed with COVID-19, as well as students who need to quarantine as they have been identified as close contacts of someone with COVID-19.

Join our Sept. 20 virtual town hall to hear about health and safety mitigation measures in schools, COVID-19 contact tracing, learning in quarantine, and return to school guidance. Also see recordings and slides from the Sept. 16 town hall.

DASH buses are now fare-free. This means all ACPS students and staff can use DASH to get around town and ride for free, every day.

Volunteer crossing guards are a vital part of the ACPS family, and we are currently in need of a few good community members willing to volunteer their time to serve several schools at several locations.
