Eligible licensed staff and administrators who are considering retirement this year will have an opportunity to elect an enhanced option in which they may receive payment for unused sick leave.
Eligible employees are those who have completed three or more consecutive years of service with Alexandria City Public Schools and meet the retirement eligibility under the Virginia Retirement System.
A memo providing details, including an application, will be mailed directly to the home address of eligible employees’ homes.
Employees must return the completed application to the Human Resources Department no later than March 1, 2019.
