Annual Giving Campaign Now Underway
- News and Announcements

Did you know that you can make donations through payroll deductions as part of the United Way annual giving campaign? Donations can be made to organizations like the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria—the only nonprofit that provides scholarships strictly to ACPS students—or to any nonprofit that you choose.

The process is really easy. Just visit this specially designated website for ACPS employees and use the following credentials:

Username: your work email address
Password: your employee ID number

Giving through United Way allows us to combine our efforts to improve the lives of others. No matter how much you give, your contribution will have an impact. This year we are striving for 100% participation. Learn more about the impact of the United Way in our community.

In order to enable employees to designate donations in sync with the school year calendar, the campaign to designate donations has been shifted to the spring/summer. Designations can be made through July 1. Your designated sum will be deducted from your paycheck beginning on September 15, 2017 through August 31, 2018. Employees also have the option make a one-time donation with a personal check.

Because the deduction period has changed from the calendar year to the school year, contributors will receive charitable a tax deduction receipt for donations contributed from September 2017 through December 2017 and a separate receipt for donations made in 2018. If you have questions concerning charitable tax- receipts, please contact United Way at 202-488-2000.

Have questions about the campaign? Please contact the designated United Way representative for your work location:
