Attend a Superintendent Search Forum on Thursday, September 21

Now is the time to let your voice be heard on the selection of a new Superintendent! Mark your calendar and plan to attend one of the last two forums on Thursday, September 21 at 7 p.m. at either the George Washington Middle School Media Center or the John Adams Elementary School Media Center.

This is your opportunity to share your thoughts on the characteristics you want in the next ACPS Superintendent. The search firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates will lead the forums and use your input to help create the leadership profile for potential candidates.

You can also take the Superintendent Leadership Profile Survey to let us know what qualities are important to you. The survey should take about five minutes to complete and is available in English, Amharic, Arabic and Spanish.

The survey is open to ACPS students, parents, community members and staff and is open through September 25. If you have more than one role with ACPS you may take the survey more than once to represent each perspective.

The profile results will be presented to the School Board on Thursday, October 5 at a Special Called Board Meeting at 7 p.m. in the School Board Meeting Room at 1340 Braddock Place. This meeting is open to the public.

Members of the community may also give their input during the public comment portion of the September 28 School Board meeting. Sign up to speak at a School Board meeting.
