Many Thanks to Our Community Partners

In 2016-17, ACPS formalized 173 partnerships with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, local businesses, faith-based organizations and post-secondary educational institutions. These partnerships provide a broad range of services and supports that address our families’ academic, social and physical needs and are key in helping ACPS to fulfill our goal of ensuring that Every Student Succeeds. A list of our community partners and an overview of the services each provides can be found in the 2016-17 ACPS Community Partners Directory (PDF).ACPS Partnership Directory 2017

One of the ways that we celebrate our partners is to host the ACPS Partnerships Luncheon as an expression of appreciation for their contributions and their commitment to supporting our students, parents, guardians, staff and our community on the path to becoming a high performing school district. The second annual luncheon was held last week.

ACPS launched the Office of School, Business and Community Partnerships in the fall of 2016, to support existing and create new partnerships between the school division, businesses and community agencies that support the education of all children and aid in ensuring their success. In August, ACPS will launch the ACPS Partnership Newsletter, which will contain resources, tools and other information important to our partners and community, information about special events, community partner news, and more.

To learn more about ACPS community partners or the upcoming newsletter or to explore partnership opportunities, please contact Anthony “Kurt” Huffman at 703-619-8307 or by email.
