ACPS Moves Forward with Selecting Redistricting Review Committee

The ACPS Redistricting Process continues to move forward with selection of the Redistricting Review Committee that will help guide next steps. We received more than 130 applications from community members. This truly shows our community’s incredible commitment to maintaining a world-class education for all of our current and future students.

The names of the proposed Review Committee members will be posted on the School Board’s meeting agenda on the ACPS website on October 9, 2015. The School Board will then vote to approve the selection of members on Thursday, October 15 during the School Board meeting at the ACPS Central Office, 1340 Braddock Place.

The Redistricting Review Committee will convene for their first official meeting of the process on October 19 at 5 p.m. at 1340 Braddock Place. The meeting is open to the public.

The first official public community forum for the ACPS Redistricting Process will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 22 at T.C. Williams High School at 3300 King Street. This meeting will help establish a timeline and determine opportunities for engagement from all community members. The dates and locations for upcoming meetings will be posted at a later date.
