On Dec. 7, Superintendent Dr. Gregory C. Hutchings, Jr. sent a message via email to staff and families to remind our school community about ACPS school safety and security. In this video, Dr. Hutchings addresses ACPS’ commitment to taking the actions necessary to safeguard the physical well-being and mental health of our students and staff, and emphasizes that everyone in our school community plays a role in helping to keep our schools safe. We continue to encourage students to share their concerns about safety or wellness for themselves or peers with any trusted adult in our school buildings. Families and staff are asked to contact their school administration or call the ACPS security team at 703-824-6690 with safety concerns; beyond school hours, please call the Alexandria Police Department (APD).
