School Board to Discuss Redistricting Policies this Wednesday

The Alexandria City School Board is at the stage in the redistricting process when it will be discussing proposed policy changes.

The School Board was scheduled to discuss the proposed redistricting policies at its Thursday work session. However, although the School Board sat into the early hours of the morning, they were only able to begin their review.

A new work session to discuss the proposed policies has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place in the School Board meeting room at Central Office, 1340 Braddock Place, Alexandria. All meetings are open to the public.

ACPS has compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) around the redistricting process and proposed policies. Please be aware that the policies outlined in the FAQ will be subject to discussion, review and change.

You can read the full proposed redistricting policies and watch a video of the initial discussion on Thursday evening.
