ACPS Sees More Schools Fully Accredited

Fourteen schools within ACPS are anticipated to be fully accredited for the 2018-19 school year — two more than last year, with William Ramsay Elementary School and Francis C. Hammond Middle School both attaining full accreditation status this year.

Students to Get More Recess Time this School Year

Elementary students will get more recess time this school year thanks to student wellness policy changes approved by the School Board last June. In addition, the policy now also includes weather-related guidelines for when to hold recess and other student activities outdoors.
