The track team is looking to make up for the mistakes made during the indoor track season. one of the fastest high school sprinter in the country, senior Ibrahim Bangura should be back to 100 percent going into spring. The shot put team is looking very strong with Courtney Holford coming off of getting first place in states.

He said, “I am really excited for this season. We have a lot of new players and I am excited to see my friends who I played with last year and come back and play again this year. I think we have a lot of potential and I am prepared to win.”

Last spring the boys soccer team managed to knock off the top seeded team in their region and made it all the way to semi-finals of the regional tournament. Coach Peter Abed said, “This particular group has been playing together for a long time and they are very focused and clear about what they wanted to achieve this season… We have a group of guys who have put a ton of collective time, heart, and energy into this program.” One of their specific goals is returning to the state tournament. Senior Gab Hendi said, “I’m looking forward to just winning and getting some titles.”

Wink said, “This year we have had our greatest turnout of players and it looks like we will have a fantastic season.”

We have a tougher schedule this year, but it is only going to make us more prepared later into the season. I like our chances going forward.
