The School Board approved the academic calendars for the 2018-19 school year at their January 11 meeting. Items to note include:
- There are 183 student instructional days
- The first day for students is September 4, 2018 for traditional calendar schools and August 2, 2018 for the modified calendar
- The last day of school on both calendars is June 20, 2019
- The Wednesday before Thanksgiving remains a holiday and the length of Winter Break is 8 days
- Division-wide Professional Development days are on August 29, 2018 and March 15, 2019.
- Columbus Day is a professional development day (and a holiday on the modified calendar),
- Veterans’ Day is a holiday on both calendars
- The first 3 snow days will not be made-up
- Additional make-up days, if needed, will be as follows:
- Traditional Calendar: April 22, June 21 and June 24
- Modified Calendar: April 22, June 21 and June 24
