Developing the ACPS budget is a year-round process involving the entire community. Budget planning starts in the fall and continues until the final budget is approved the following May. As budget planning for the 2018-19 school year begins, ACPS is seeking input from the community. We need to hear from you about what your priorities are for the next school year.

Learn why you need to get involved in the budget process

At this Community Budget Forum, we will discuss the upcoming budget process, the timeline and the fiscal challenges facing ACPS. There will also be a review of the School Board’s budget priorities.

Our partners from the Budget Advisory Committee (BAC), Education Association of Alexandria (EAA) and the Parent Teacher Association Council (PTAC) will join the conversation. The forum will include an opportunity for community members to participate in group discussions about how to focus our resources on the budget priorities.
