Participate in the Superintendent Search Process

Have your say! The School Board is seeking input from the community in identifying the characteristics you would like to see in the next ACPS Superintendent.

We invite you to take the Superintendent Leadership Profile Survey in English, Amharic, Arabic or Spanish to let us know what qualities are important to you.

Take the survey

The survey will be open for the next four weeks, until September 25. The survey is open to ACPS students, parents, community members and staff.

In addition to the survey and stakeholder interviews, the search firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates will hold four Community Forums for members of the public to give feedback and help create the leadership profile for the next Superintendent.

  • September 11 and September 21 – George Washington Middle School Media Center (7 p.m.)
  • September 11 and September 21 – John Adams Elementary School Media Center (7 p.m.)

These profile results will be presented to the School Board on Thursday, October 5 at a Special Called Board Meeting at 7 p.m. in the School Board Meeting Room at 1340 Braddock Place. This meeting is open to the public.

Members of the community may also give their input during the public comment portion of the September 14 and September 28 School Board meetings. To sign up to speak at a School Board Meeting, go to https://www.acps.k12.va.us/board.
