Mark Your Calendars: Summer School Dates Are Out!

It’s time to get out your calendars and plan for your child’s summer.

We encourage participation in our summer school programs to reduce learning loss, support students who are new to ACPS, and provide help for those who may need additional academic support.

Some are by invitation only, others have open registration. Check with your counselor if you are unsure.

For rising kindergarten students, Kindergarten Prep offers a chance to get acquainted with teachers, get to know your new school and meet new friends.

And for those enrolled in our dual language programs at Mount Vernon Community School and John Adams Elementary School, make sure you register for the Summer Language Academy, which this year is being held at Cora Kelly School for Math, Science and Technology.

Middle School Prep is available to rising sixth graders heading to Francis C. Hammond Middle School, George Washington Middle School, Jefferson-Houston PreK-8 IB School, and Patrick Henry K-8 School.

T.C. Williams High School is hosting an array of academic classes for those looking for credit recovery or repeat courses.

There’s fun to be had at Summer Theatre School at T.C. Williams Minnie Howard Campus from July 6-24 for students entering grades six through eight.

And there’s Music Camp for any band and orchestra students entering grades five to nine.

Find out more information and how to register.
