Afghan Girls Robotics Team Exchanges Ideas with Titan Robotics Team

Titan Robotics welcomed members of the Afghan Dreamers Girls Robotics Team for a visit to T.C. Williams High School earlier this month. Together the teams exchanged ideas about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The girls were in the U.S. to receive the Asia Society’s Game Changer Award, following a visit to Washington and were able to visit with Titan Robotics in their maker space, drive robots and socialize with their American peers.

About Titan Robotics

Now in its fifth year, with a record number of participants, Titan Robotics promotes STEM in Alexandria by competing in robotics tournaments and hosting dozens of outreach events, giving high school students hands-on opportunities and real life applications of engineering skills. This year the student-led organization is expanding to nine teams, enabling kindergarten to middle school students to also compete in robotics competitions and engage in STEM experiences.
