PALS Data and Instructional Implications
What reports are available on the PALS website and how can we use them to engage? Elementary data cohort members are invited to join Suzanne Lank for an analysis of their school-level PALS subtest data and our division cohort progress over time. PALS has recently added several new reports and resources to support schools. By the end of the session, individual schools will be able to summarize their school-based PALS data and draft a plan for how to use the diagnostic information to accelerate reading achievement in their K-3 learners. #15221

Parent Resource Center Family Engagement Workshop Series
What tools and strategies can families use to address the challenges posed by raising a combination of children with and without disabilities? This course will offer information both to families and teachers to address topics including behavior, learning differences, preparing for post-secondary education and life, and special education. #15152

Implementing The Creative Curriculum for Preschool
How will paraprofessionals become familiar with the 38 objectives for development and learning that are integral components of the Creative Curriculum for Preschool? They will use the knowledge-building teaching guides to learn how the curriculum provides guidance on the physical environment, instruction and learning and on forming a partnership with families. Staff will also learn how to implement the curriculum with fidelity to ensure content is integrated into daily activities through intentional teaching experiences. #15205

Explicit Instruction for Adult Education Teachers
How can teachers improve their instructional practice by using explicit instruction in their classroom? This session will help adult education teachers address strategies such as activating prior learning, clearly articulating lesson objectives, modeling and demonstrating techniques, providing feedback and formative assessments, and providing effective closure. #14989
