This week’s highlighted courses:

ACPS Elementary Literacy Guidelines: Comprehensive Literacy 101
How can K-5 teachers use a Comprehensive Literacy Framework to help their students reach high levels of literacy? How can ACPS teachers meet the diverse literacy needs of their students while still teaching grade-level standards? During this 90-minute session, participants will learn the key components of the ACPS K-5 Comprehensive Literacy Framework and the non-negotiables for literacy instruction. #14691 

Communication Tools for Use with Students
Participants will learn about how to engage their students in understanding and talking about their data. Age/grade-level appropriate documents to engage students with their data that staff can use in their data binders will be provided. Participants will also learn more about quality tools that can empower students in taking responsibility for their own learning. #14603

Elementary Writing Workshop Strand: Norming Student Writing Products
During this session, teachers will use the Writing Pathways Continuum and ACPS Writing Rubrics to collaboratively norm ACPS student writing samples against grade level expectations. By the end of a session, participants will have exemplars for each score point to share with their students, parents and colleagues. #14675
