Notice Regarding Student Transfers for Children of Non-Resident ACPS Employees

Given predicted kindergarten enrollment numbers and the redistricting implementation process, it is unlikely that ACPS will be able to offer student transfers for children of non-resident ACPS employees for the 2017-18 school year. An update on these transfers will be provided by the end of July. During this time, non-resident employees are welcome to submit the Non-Resident Employee Student Transfer Request form (PDF), and those requests will be kept on file in the case that transfer spaces are available.

If non-resident employee student transfers are offered, the identification of the elementary schools accepting these student transfers will occur at the end of July, with acceptance notification taking place after August 1. Elementary schools will be selected based on available capacity after redistricting implementation transfers have been assigned.

As in previous years, non-resident employee student transfers are not available at the secondary level due to current capacity.
