Big changes are coming to Central Office Parking!

As of June 1, staff, students and visitors are now no longer able to park in the Metro Church parking lot near the Central Office building. Instead, Central Office employees with a key fob are able to park in the garage below the building. All other ACPS personnel, students and visitors should also park in the garage and obtain a validation ticket from the lobby security desk.

Parking is available on both levels B1 and B2, including the orange, blue, yellow or green areas. Because you can’t access ACPS from the B2 level, anyone parking there must take the 1330 building elevator to the lobby level, walk outside, and make their way to ACPS. On the B1 level, ACPS can be accessed from the orange-area elevators.

Please be sure to keep your parking ticket with you and bring it to the ACPS lobby. Students, visitors, and non-Central Office ACPS personnel will need to obtain a validation ticket at the lobby security desk at the end of their visit at ACPS. Visits of 60 minutes or less will cost ACPS $9 to validate and anything longer will cost ACPS $13. Please be clear about the length of stay so that ACPS doesn’t overpay.

When leaving the garage, those using validation will enter their parking ticket and the validation ticket in order to exit.

Efforts are underway to negotiate a longer (free) grace period for ACPS visitors, and parking alternatives with shuttle services are being explored.
