ACPS welcomes Tamiko Hudson to the Human Resources Department as the Human Resources Specialist for Licensure. Hudson joined ACPS in September 2015 as a business support assistant in the Office of Specialized Instruction. When the licensure position became available, Hudson saw it as an opportunity to apply her background in human resource development.
If you are a teacher, counselor or other licensed staff member, or if you hire licensed staff, Hudson can help:
• newly hired staff apply for a license (where needed)
• existing licensed staff renew their license
• principals and administrators screen candidates for license eligibility and highly qualified status
• place student teaching, counseling and psychology interns
Hudson is also a liaison with the Virginia Department of Education on all license related issues.
Hudson has a masters degree in human resource development from Georgia State University in Atlanta, where she lived for 13 years. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family and exploring restaurants and older homes in Old Town Alexandria.
