ACPS 2020 Roll Out Wins National Award

Wear your ACPS 2020 lanyard with pride!

The ACPS Office of Communications has won a prestigious national award for exemplary public relations for the roll out of the ACPS 2020 Strategic Plan.

The communications team has been awarded a Golden Achievement Award from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA). The award notes excellence in the creation of a research-based strategy, marketing plan and materials, implementation, evaluation and community engagement to ensure ACPS 2020 became an integral part of the work of ACPS.

The ‘Every Student Succeeds’ banners outside schools, the posters series of the six goal areas in the lobby of Central Office and in schools, ‘I am #EveryStudent’ T-shirts, ACPS 2020 lanyards, videos, the ACPS 2020 logo and email signature are all part of the marketing materials designed specifically to launch the ACPS 2020 Strategic Plan. The ACPS 2020 launch event, which attracted more than 2,000 people from all over the division, was also part of the roll-out.

ACPS has also won a number of awards in the NSPRA Publications and Electronic Media Awards contest. ACPS Express and ACPS Insider each won awards of Excellence — the top prize — in the External and Internal E-Newsletter categories. The ACPS 2020 poster series also won an Excellence award in the Special Purpose Publication category.

ACPS won awards in every category in which we had an entry. Last year’s Great Results Campaign, the use of Storify for storytelling using social media, the ACPS 2020 video series and 2015-16 ACPS Family Handbook also won awards.
