{"id":1250,"date":"2016-04-29T14:56:43","date_gmt":"2016-04-29T18:56:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/staff\/?p=1250"},"modified":"2016-04-29T14:56:43","modified_gmt":"2016-04-29T18:56:43","slug":"kaisers-free-mobile-health-van-visits-acps-next-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/staff\/kaisers-free-mobile-health-van-visits-acps-next-monday\/","title":{"rendered":"Kaiser&#8217;s Free Mobile Health Van Visits ACPS next Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Kaiser Permanente mobile health van will be at the Transportation office on Monday,\u00a0May 9\u00a0from 8 a.m. &#8211; 12:00 p.m. to provide free medical support to all ACPS employees.<\/p>\n<p>All employees (non-Kaiser and Kaiser members) can have their blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose checked or they can discuss any\u00a0health\u00a0concerns they may have with a health\u00a0professional in the exam suites.<\/p>\n<p>Registration is required in order to see a health professional. A sign-up sheet is available at the Transportation office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s on board?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two exam suites<\/li>\n<li>Room to talk with a doctor or other caregiver and watch educational videos<\/li>\n<li>Laptops so you can log on to or register on kp.org<\/li>\n<li>Computers that link caregivers with Kaiser Permanente doctors,<\/li>\n<li>labs, pharmacies, and more, so they can coordinate care with your<\/li>\n<li>Kaiser Permanente medical center.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s Inside?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive routine preventive care<\/li>\n<li>Check your blood pressure, body mass index, screen for<\/li>\n<li>cholesterol, and more<\/li>\n<li>Discuss how to manage ongoing health<\/li>\n<li>conditions<\/li>\n<li>Arrange for follow-up appointments<\/li>\n<li>Ask for medical advice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ACPS 2020 Strategic Plan focuses on Health and Wellness. The goal ensures ACPS will promote efforts to support the physical, social and emotional wellness of its staff and students.
