When there is a strong relationship between the family and school, students perform better academically, have fewer behavioral problems and are more likely to complete high school than students whose parents or guardians are not involved in their education.<\/p>\n<p>ACPS values family engagement\u2014and we understand the challenges that many parents and guardians face in navigating the school system and in getting involved. To better support our families, our Parent Liaisons offer opportunities to foster trusting relationships, improve communication and help build cooperative working relationships between home and school.<\/p>\n<p>Parent liaisons can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help you to understand school policies, student report cards and other topics regarding your child\u2019s education<\/li>\n<li>Address any issues and concerns you may have at school<\/li>\n<li>Link you with and facilitate collaboration with school staff<\/li>\n<li>Connect you with community resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ACPS Language-Specific Parent Liaisons<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To meet the needs of our increasingly diverse community, ACPS also has three parent liaisons who serve Arabic-, Amharic\u2013 and Spanish-speaking families division-wide.<\/p>\n<h2>Conozca a sus Enlaces de Padres<\/h2>\n<p>Los padres de familia y tutores desempe\u00f1an un rol cr\u00edtico en la educaci\u00f3n de sus ni\u00f1os. Cuando existe una fuerte relaci\u00f3n entre la familia y la escuela, los estudiantes tienen un mejor desempe\u00f1o acad\u00e9mico, tienen menos problemas de comportamiento y tienen m\u00e1s probabilidades de completar la escuela que los estudiantes cuyos padres o tutores no est\u00e1n involucrados en su educaci\u00f3n. ACPS valora la participaci\u00f3n de las familias, y entendemos los retos que muchos padres y tutores enfrentan al navegar el sistema escolar y participar de est\u00e9. Para brindar mejor apoyo a nuestras familias, nuestros Enlaces de Padres ofrecen oportunidades para fomentar relaciones confiables, mejorar la comunicaci\u00f3n y ayudar a construir relaciones cooperativas entre la escuela y la casa.<\/p>\n<p>Los Enlaces de Padres pueden:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ayudarles a entender las p\u00f3lizas de la escuela, leer las boletas de calificaci\u00f3n y otros temas concernientes a la educaci\u00f3n de sus hijos<\/li>\n<li>Le pueden ayudar con inquietudes o temas que puedan tener con la escuela<\/li>\n<li>Pueden conectarle con recursos comunitarios<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ACPS tiene Enlaces de Padres de idiomas espec\u00edficos para satisfacer las necesidades de nuestra comunidad cada vez m\u00e1s diversa, ACPS tambi\u00e9n cuenta con
