{"id":1406,"date":"2016-02-12T09:35:56","date_gmt":"2016-02-12T14:35:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/news\/?p=1406"},"modified":"2016-06-15T14:17:46","modified_gmt":"2016-06-15T18:17:46","slug":"summer-school-and-enrichment-programs-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/news\/?p=1406","title":{"rendered":"Summer School and Enrichment Programs Announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>This summer, ACPS will offer summer enrichment programs for students from kindergarten through high school at a variety of locations.<\/p>\n<p>Programs include kindergarten and middle school prep programs, summer band camp, programs for middle school students needing support in math, high school students who need to make up credits or want to get ahead, and a dual language academy.<\/p>\n<p>The highly successful Summer Enrichment Program launched last year that incorporated a summer camp style with high standards of learning will also be offered to students who could benefit from the program.<\/p>\n<p>Below is an outline of programs, with details about who may attend each program, how to register and who to contact for additional information.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>KINDERGARTEN PREP (K-PREP)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Dates:<\/strong> August 15-19<br \/>\n<strong>Time:<\/strong> 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-846 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3837-260x174.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3837\" width=\"260\" height=\"174\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3837-260x174.jpg 260w, https:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3837-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3837-800x534.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3837.jpg 974w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 260px) 100vw, 260px\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Locations:<\/strong> all elementary schools except Samuel W. Weeks 2-3 cost $100 per child. Williams High School, King Street Campus and online<br \/>\n<strong>Who may attend:<\/strong> Grades 9-12<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school students needing to retake classes to recover a credit (Credit Recovery).<\/li>\n<li>ELL students who need to obtain additional credits for on-time graduation (ELL Program).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Students wanting to take Physical Education or Economics and Personal Finance.
