T.C. Williams Girls Varsity Field Hockey Off to State Championship

The T.C. Williams Girls Varsity Field Hockey team won the Patriot Conference Championship on October 26, 2015, with a 3-0 victory over their opponent. This is the team’s first conference title win since 1995.

T.C. Williams Kicked Off its 50th Anniversary Celebrations in Style This Weekend

T.C. Williams High School had a big start to its 50th anniversary celebrations. Events included a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new tennis courts, a bonfire, a 50th anniversary parade and Homecoming Game in front of Coaches Boone and Yoast of the ’71 ‘Remember the Titans’ team. First Redistricting Community Meeting Sees Large Turnout

The first Community Meeting for the redistricting process saw a large turnout on Thursday night when 120 people gathered at T.C. Williams High School for the start of the discussion to create school better boundaries for Alexandria City Public Schools.

Students Invited to Participate in Red Ribbon Week Poster Contest

The competition, hosted as part of the Red Ribbon Campaign, asks students to express their feelings about drug prevention through art. Winners receive a gift card and their posters will be featured through ACPS during Red Ribbon Week 2016!

Alexandria City Public Schools is serving 503 more students in the 2016-17 school year — an increase of 3.6 percent over the previous school year — according to the ACPS fall enrollment report.

School Board Approves Redistricting Review Committee

Alexandria City School Board approved the selection of 35 people for the Redistricting Review Committee who will be the voices of their communities in the redistricting process. The Redistricting Review Committee will meet for the first time on Monday, October 19 at 5 p.m.
