ACPS Interim Superintendent Lois F. Berlin has unveiled a Capital Improvement Program budget for FY 2019-2028, in line with the recommendations of the Ad Hoc Joint City-Schools Facilities Investment Task Force, with a focus on increasing elementary and high school capacity.
The Alexandria City School Board’s West End Elementary School Naming Committee is now seeking recommendations for names for the new school.
In January 2017, the School Board approved the implementation of new elementary school boundaries generated through a year-long redistricting process. The new school boundaries will go into effect in September 2018. ACPS is in the process of implementing redistricting and will be contacting those families impacted by the process directly in the next couple of weeks.
