TC Crew Dedicates the Brooksie Koopman; Defeats West Potomac

April 6, 2010 by

On March 27, T.C. Crew and the T.C. Crew Boosters dedicated their newest high tech Vespoli racing shell, the Brooksie Koopman at their rowing facility in Old Town. Named for a long time crew volunteer, the shell will be rowed by the T.C. boys team in coming years.  In the shell’s inaugural race, the TC Varsity boys rowed to a decisive first place victory against West Potomac on April 3.  With around 170 rowers and more than a dozen racing shells in the 2010 season, T.C. Williams Crew is one of largest and most powerful teams in region.  The sleek, brand new Brooksie Koopman will make her next racing appearance on April 9th in Middletown, Delaware against Washington and Lee, St. Andrew, St. Albans, and Holy Spirit.
