Titans Topple Atoms

October 12, 2009 by Alexander Goldfarb

The Titans defense dominated Annandale en route to a 31-7 victory on Friday, October 9th. Highlighted by three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, the Titans showcased one of the quickest and most athletic defenses in the Northern Region. Annandale’s offense could not move the ball on T.C. with constant pressure in the backfield, and highly touted Atoms junior receiver Melvin Robinson was a non-factor. Junior quarterback Douglas Murphy threw a touchdown pass, and senior running back Cortez Taylor ran for another. In a must-win game to have a realistic shot at playoff contention, T.C. stepped up for a big win in the Patriot District.
