When Emma Kemler saw an insensitive comment on Facebook, she decided to act and created Titan Aid. Kemler, a junior at T.C., is the co-president and founder of Titan Aid, a club created in reaction to the Haitian Earthquake disaster. Emma is an incredibly intelligent, dedicated person whose main focus is to help others. “Emma is extremely dedicated to everything she puts her mind to and I am proud to have her as my best friend,” said Eleanor Kenimer. With the weather warming up and spring sports winding down, T.C. students are looking for interesting ways to enjoy the last months of the school year. Creative spirit days and exciting lunchtime contests were just a few of the activities that the leadership class had planned for the students and staff as the spring spirit week flung its way into the halls of the school. Matt Kilby Commits to Navy

Matt Kilby Commits to Navy

On April 15, 2010, senior Matt Kilby, a pitcher and right fielder for the Titans, committed to play Division I baseball at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The Naval Academy is a prestigious institute that is the training ground for Naval and Marine officers. Kilby was recruited by many top universities including Yale, Penn, and Georgetown. When asked why he chose Navy, he said, “It was the first school that recruited me. In my sophomore year they came to four or five games. And it’s pretty awesome to get a top education for free.
