Red Ribbon Week is the oldest drug prevention campaign in the nation that promotes a drug-free and healthy lifestyle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students who are interested in participating in the 2022 Red Ribbon Week Poster Contest should submit their work by <\/span><b>Nov. 15, 2021<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Three winning posters will be chosen, based on artistic presentation and strength in messaging, to promote a drug-free lifestyle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entrants must be students in Alexandria City Public Schools.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are three contest categories: elementary, middle and high school.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Posters should include a message that promotes a drug-free lifestyle. You may come up with your own theme.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Freehand, multimedia, computer-generated\/assisted designs, markers, or crayons may be used in the design of the poster. Scan a photo, full color 300 dpi, or take a hi-res photo of it with a phone or camera in good light.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Posters are judged on the artistic presentation and the strength of the message. Please include a short paragraph describing your poster theme\/message.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Include the student&#8217;s full name, age, school, poster theme and message description, phone number and email.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All posters must be turned in and postmarked by <\/span><b>Nov. 15, 2021<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, to: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ms. Daniela Perez-Bravo<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Center <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1340 Braddock Place, 5th Floor<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alexandria, VA 22314<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Electronic versions can be submitted to <\/span><a href=\"mailto:face@acps.k12.va.us\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">face@acps.k12.va.us<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A parent or legal guardian must submit the entry on the student&#8217;s behalf. By submitting an entry, you have confirmed that ACPS\/FACE and its partners have permission to reproduce the images and post on social media or other communication channels.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And during this Red Ribbon Week, all students can show their commitment to living drug-free. Print out the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/f.hubspotusercontent30.net\/hubfs\/413387\/RR%20Download%20Sign_2021.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Red Ribbon Theme sign<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, add your name, hold it up and post a photo using the hashtag #LivingDrugFree. Find @RedRibbonWeek on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RedRibbonWeek\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Facebook<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RedRibbonWeek\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Twitter<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. You can also celebrate Red Ribbon Week by planting red flower bulbs.
