Lipnick Special Education Parent Resource Center (PRC)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides the parent\/guardian of a child with disability information on what kind of services are offered for their child and how to navigate ACPS. Simultaneous interpretation is available.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The PRC\u2019s weekly newsletter updates families on events, including webinars, research studies and activities such as walks for autism. Families can subscribe to the weekly newsletter by clicking on the red box on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.acps.k12.va.us\/prc\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the PRC webpage<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Located at the Minnie Howard Campus of Alexandria City High School, the PRC\u2019s lending library has more than 500 books, DVDs and CDs to review, with information across all disabilities. Lipnick Special Education Parent Resource Center 2021-22 Family Engagement Series. The webinar, \u201cStrategies for a Good Start to the School Year for Students with Disabilities\u201d will be held Mon, Oct. 25, from 4:00-5:00pm. The session will provide parents with strategies to help their child with a disability get a good start to a successful school year. The webinar will be presented by Janet Reese, ACPS parent support specialist, and Dr. Courtney Davis, ACPS coordinator, Parent Resource Center.
