It is time to salute all the dedicated ACPS principals as we observe National Principals Month. Their leadership amid the pandemic has been invaluable as ACPS navigated through the logistics of virtual and hybrid learning last year and the transition back to five-days a week in-person learning with the 2021-22 school year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat would we do without our extraordinary, dedicated principals?\u201d said Superintendent Dr. Gregory C. Hutchings Jr., adding, \u201cI see you rise above the ordinary to lead your schools in typical circumstances. I cannot thank you enough for how you are managing our schools, inspiring our staff and supporting our students in circumstances for which we have had no roadmap.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Our principals carry out the ACPS vision to empower all students to thrive in a diverse and ever-changing world while they work to keep students and staff healthy and safe. During this time, ACPS principals collaborate with their staff to keep students engaged in their school work despite changing circumstances due to the pandemic. The decrease in the ACPS dropout rate and the <\/span>increase in the graduation rate<\/span><\/a> this past school year is a reflection of the hard work and dedication by our principals that helps our staff and students excel.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
