{"id":910,"date":"2016-02-26T16:51:01","date_gmt":"2016-02-26T21:51:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/staff\/?p=910"},"modified":"2016-02-28T13:08:42","modified_gmt":"2016-02-28T18:08:42","slug":"nominate-a-great-music-teacher-for-a-grammy-music-educator-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/staff\/nominate-a-great-music-teacher-for-a-grammy-music-educator-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominate a Great Music Teacher for a GRAMMY Music Educator Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are looking to recognize our great ACPS music teachers by nominating them for a GRAMMY Music Educator Award.<\/p>\n<p>If you know a music teacher who fits the following criteria, please make sure you take the time to fill out a nomination for them.<\/p>\n<p>A teacher nominated for a GRAMMY Music Educator Award:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has had a measurable impact in the lives of their students<\/li>\n<li>Has made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of music education<\/li>\n<li>Exemplifies the best in the field<\/li>\n<li>Is committed to maintaining music education in our schools<\/li>\n<li>Has had a significant impact on their school and community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any current, full-time, educator in the United States who teaches music in public or private schools, kindergarten through college, can be nominated. Once a nomination has been submitted, the nominated teacher will receive an email requesting additional information.<\/p>\n<p>Nominations must be submitted by March 15, 2016. The deadline for a teacher to complete their application is March 31. Quarter finalists will be notified by April 1.<\/p>\n<p>Ten finalists including one winner will be recognized. The winner will be flown to Los Angeles to accept the award, attend the GRAMMYs and receive a $10,000 honorarium.
