{"id":7755,"date":"2019-10-06T20:06:27","date_gmt":"2019-10-07T00:06:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/staff\/?p=7755"},"modified":"2019-10-06T22:08:13","modified_gmt":"2019-10-07T02:08:13","slug":"understand-the-changes-to-your-next-paycheck","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/staff\/understand-the-changes-to-your-next-paycheck\/","title":{"rendered":"Understand the Changes to Your Next Paycheck"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Things may look a little different when you open your paycheck on October 15.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>What is new about it?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The format has changed to accommodate the display of more details (earnings, deductions and descriptions).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>What do I need to know as a staff member reading my new payslip?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nothing has changed other than the details and format.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Is it going to be like this electronically, too?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, the change applies to all payslip versions: electronic for those receiving their paycheck in electronic format by email; on paper for those receiving it by mail; and on the payslips available to all employees in <a href=\"https:\/\/acps.munisselfservice.com\/login.aspx\">Employee Self Service (ESS)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>It takes place October 15, right?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, the changes take effect on October 15, 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Why are we changing it? What are we making better?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To display more details: earnings, deductions and descriptions. The new format displays details which are not available in the old format.<\/li>\n<li>Employees often call the payroll department for explanation and clarifications of items on their paycheck. These questions will be answered by the level of detail on the new paycheck format.<\/li>\n<li>Easier to read, and more clarity. For example, the attached paychecks are the same\u00a0\u2014 that is, for the same employee, same check number, same amount and same date.
