We’ve got news you can use concerning sick leave payout at retirement and employer-provided health insurance offer and coverage.<\/p>\n

Retirement Sick Leave Payout \u2013 Enhanced Options<\/h3>\n

Eligible licensed staff and administrators who are considering retirement this year will have an opportunity to elect an enhanced option in which they may receive payment for unused sick leave.<\/p>\n

Employees who have completed three or more consecutive years of service with ACPS and meet the retirement eligibility under the Virginia Retirement System are eligible.\u00a0 A memo providing details, including an application, will be mailed directly to eligible employees’ home addresses. Employees must return the completed application to human resources no later than March 1, 2018.<\/p>\n

Form 1095-C\u00a0Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage<\/h3>\n

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires U.S. taxpayers to prove that they had health coverage in 2017 when filing their taxes for 2017.<\/p>\n

Form 1095-C will be sent to employee work locations by February 15 for distribution. Employees may use this form as supporting documentation to complete their 2017 income tax return.<\/p>\n

Employees who have already filed their tax return for 2017 may keep this form for their tax records.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
