Hutchings, Jr., a graduate of T.C. Williams High School, as Superintendent of ACPS.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Hutchings, formerly the director of pre-K-12 initiatives with ACPS, will return in early July to take up his new role.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Hutchings shared the reasons why he&#8217;s so excited to return to ACPS and the Alexandria community in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acps.k12.va.us\/site\/Default.aspx?PageID=2111\">video message<\/a>\u00a0earlier this week.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I am honored to return to my hometown and to advocate for and encourage the next generation of leaders. ACPS is a special place for me because it&#8217;s where my education and lifelong passion for it began. ACPS is well on its way to attaining the ACPS 2020 goals. I look forward to collaborating with the School Board and community to continue on the path to ensuring that every student succeeds,&#8221; said Dr. Gregory C.
