{"id":5239,"date":"2017-03-03T14:00:35","date_gmt":"2017-03-03T19:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/news\/?p=5239"},"modified":"2017-03-03T18:26:12","modified_gmt":"2017-03-03T23:26:12","slug":"acps-is-asking-you-to-come-out-on-march-13-to-tellcouncil-to-fully-fund-our-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.acpsk12.org\/news\/?p=5239","title":{"rendered":"ACPS is Asking You to Come out on March 13 to #TellCouncil to Fully Fund Our Schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>This week we are asking ACPS parents and the wider community to come out and advocate for the City to fully fund the schools in this year\u2019s budget.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The City has a Public Hearing for the budget on Monday, March 13 in the Council Chambers at City Hall at 7 p.m. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alexandriava.gov\/Participate\">Sign up to speak in advance<\/a>. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Alternatively, you can sign up to speak on the night of the public hearing by filling out the sign-up form on the table outside the meeting room and handing it to the clerk BEFORE the meeting starts. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Currently $2.1 million of the ACPS Operating Budget is not funded in the City Manager\u2019s proposed budget.
