View the final\u00a0video in the series in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WOC_ksd_Dt8&amp;list=PLOmpI-FEr01R1ydDm6GAVSWPfEVJnRjB0\">English<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KQVHSiJ0o58\">Spanish<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-dotJlx1JYU\">Amharic<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QMRzuUHnaF8\">Arabic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The presenter of this workshop is Scott Campbell, a member of the Commonwealth of Virginia Public Safety Workgroup for Autism Awareness, an Autism Safety and Awareness trainer for\u00a0families and first responder personnel\u00a0 in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., and\u00a0the former President of the Autism Society of Northern Virginia.\u00a0This workshop provides practical advice and offers strategies to parents of children with cognitive disabilities to help keep their children safe when dealing with public safety risks and emergency situations.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WOC_ksd_Dt8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The series of workshops were hosted\u00a0by the ACPS Special Education Parent Resource Center and recorded by Career &amp; Technical Education (CTE) students enrolled in TV Production classes at T.C. Williams High School.<\/p>\n<p>Practical experience for CTE students at T.C. Williams is a regular part of the curriculum and allows students to work with real world practical situations throughout the school year.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinator for the ACPS Special Education Parent Resource Center Courtney P. Davis recently wrote to the ACPS-TV channel that\u00a0 \u201c<i>The Parent Resource Center is so excited to continue to have ACPS students to record our workshop series. We think it is empowering for students and provides an opportunity to showcase their talents.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0workshops were all conducted in English and translated into Spanish, Amharic and Arabic.
