A huge congratulations to Ana Humphrey from T.C.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

On being named a National Merit Scholar, you see. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Considered to be the highest honor a student can receive, <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

She\u2019ll be awarded $2,500 toward college to achieve! <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Becoming a Merit Scholar is no easy thing to do,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

With 1.6 million juniors across the country competing with you.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Your SATs must be high, your academic record spotless,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

And your teacher and principal recommendations countless.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Oh, Ms. Humphrey has awards and accolades galore!<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

To list them on this page, there\u2019s no room for more!<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

But winning a mere $250k is worth mention,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

As a Regeneron winner, she beat out this country\u2019s best competition.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

From first grade through twelfth she\u2019s studied with us,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Now it\u2019s on to Harvard to debate and discuss<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

This world\u2019s biggest mysteries \u2014 things big, bold and bright,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Things we can only dream of, that Ana has in her sights.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

So good luck, goodbye, and as the French say, ‘adieu.’<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

We\u2019re so proud to know someone as talented as you!<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Becoming somewhat of a celebrity, Ana has appeared on national<\/a> and local television<\/a>, in the Washington Post<\/a> and even made it to <\/span>Poetry Fence on Dewitt Ave in Del Ray.<\/span><\/p>\n
